Guilin home
Step 2 has been completed. I have an apartment, and I’m quite settled in Guilin… Finally. Three years ago I’ve looked all over the place for a job here, but since I didn’t have a BA at the time, I couldn’t find the positions I was looking for. Now that I have graduated I can get these highly coveted positions, and so today I’ve started my job hunt in Guilin. I contacted the best schools I could think of, and will have appointments soon.
Step 1 was getting to China and leading a tour for Summum, a Dutch tour company. I still have a tour to go, in a month and a half, but at least I’m here now. and that’s the most important.
So if you ever find yourself in the neighbourhood, feel free to drop by. Just contact me through the email option on this page and I’m looking forward to see you. We’ll have a beer somewhere.

Hoi,
Ik verhuis per eind mei ook naar guilin samen met mn vriend en zoontje.Zou je me een beetje kunnen laten van het dag tot dag leven daar etc?Zou wel erg fijn zijn een beetje te horen van een hollander die er al zit!

Beste Roel,
Ik zag je in de Kampioen staan en wil je vragen of je toevallig connecties hebt bij bedrijven in Guilin? Ik ga namelijk vanaf eind februari Chinees studeren in Guilin voor 4,5 maand. Ik zou graag een kleine stage willen lopen bij een bedrijf op marketinggebied.
Zou je me iets willen laten weten?
